Job Overview:

Job Summary: 

onsemi is seeking a self-driven, motivated professional to join our Capacity Planning team, located in Phoenix, AZ.  As the CapEx Principal, you will be responsible for tracking the required capital and timing of onsemi’s capacity expansion proposals, ensuring they align with business and factory capacity needs, tracking their status, and driving them to approval. This role is key to enabling onsemi’s revenue and building a flexible and resilient factory network. You will be an integral part of a fast-growing, collaborative supply-chain team that is laying the foundation to lead the semiconductor industry. 

Performance Objectives: 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to: 

  • Partner with onsemi’s business units, global operations team, procurement team, and supply chain to document and track all CapEx proposals. 

  • Ensure onsemi’s CapEx projects align with planned capacity ramps – both the amount of capacity that we’re supporting, as well as needed purchase and install timing. 

  • Explain and justify CapEx projects to onsemi’s executive team and drive for approvals on required timelines. 

  • Partner with the procurement and operations teams to ensure execution to documented timelines and advocate for pull-ins where required. 

  • Enable onsemi’s long-term operational strategy.

  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative. 

  • Ability to recognize patterns on their own after analyzing a complex data and present findings to leaders in clear, concise, manner. 

  • Factory capacity planning and the theory of constraints. 

  • Strong business acumen.  

  • Ability and flexibility to work under pressure with ambiguity. 

  • Proactively questions current practices; ability to identify root cause and corrective actions and drive improvements. 

  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills. 

  • Strong time management, organization and prioritization skills with comfort in being self-directed. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, as well as experience with data reporting and analysis software. 

Requirements: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Data Analytics or equivalent degree from an accredited international university. 

  • 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain roles to include CapEx planning, capacity planning, S&OP, and supply chain process improvement.
