Sandvik Mining is looking for a Campus/Commercial Facilities Maintenance Specialist in Elko, NV

Business area Mining is a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, digital solutions and sustainability-driving technologies for the mining and construction industries. Applications include rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunneling and quarrying.

This Facilities Specialist will be onsite in our Elko, NV facility 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary function of this role is to oversee the maintenance and operational functions of our newly built Elko campus facilities. The campus includes an office environment, workshop, warehouse, and yards with equipment. This specialist will need to have experience with overseeing a commercial / industrial environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• HVAC Systems Maintenance: Perform / contract the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

• Parking Lot Maintenance and Snow Removal: Manage the upkeep of parking lots, including resurfacing and line painting. Perform snow removal operations to ensure safe and accessible parking and access road areas.

• Landscaping Management: Maintain attractive and functional outdoor spaces.

• Building Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate necessary repairs and upgrades.

• Front Desk Admissions Assistance: Assist with front desk operations, including visitor admissions and handling inquiries.

• Wash Bays and Paint Booths Maintenance: Support the maintenance and cleanliness of wash bays and paint booths to ensure a safe working environment.

• Janitorial Services Management: Oversee and assist with janitorial services to maintain a clean and hygienic campus environment.

• Continuous Safety Support: Promote and enforce a culture of safety throughout the campus.

• Video Surveillance Maintenance: Maintain and monitor video surveillance systems to ensure campus security.

• Access Controls Assistance: Help manage access controls, including issuing and deactivating access cards and keys.

• Ancillary Services Management: Oversee the maintenance of ancillary services such as vending machines and water dispensers.

• Vehicle and Equipment coordination: Ensure pool vehicles are maintained and support equipment mobilization and storage.

• Weed abatement: make certain perimeter fences are free from weed and in good working order.

• Environmental compliance: assist with disposal of hydrocarbons and maintain stormwater systems. Ensure air permitting requirements are met and oil separators cleaned and maintained.

Safety and Environment

• Adherence to the Sandvik Environmental, Health & Safety Policy.

• Attending health and safety related trainings.

• Performing Risk Assessments (“Take Five”) prior to each task.

• Identification and reporting of hazards.

• Working in a safe manner as reasonably practicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

5 years proven experience in commercial / industrial facility management.

Demonstrated proficiency in general HVAC knowledge, and building resource management

Licenses & Certifications:

Active valid driver’s license without restrictions

Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift certification

Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills

Independently motivated and works well in a team environment

Strong communication skills

Location: Elko, NV

Travel Requirements / shift / hours: Little to no travel

Compensation Range: The anticipated salary range is $85,000 to $95,000 depedning on experience.

Work authorization

Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship.
(Please note: temporary work authorizations, including OPT, do not meet this requirement.)
