We are seeking an experienced CAM Drive Operator to join a precision manufacturing team. This is a hands-on machining position for someone with proven experience operating CAM-driven screw machines, particularly Euroturn, Davenport, Acme Gridley, or Brown & Sharpe equipment.
Please note: This is a CAM Drive Operator position, not a CNC Operator position. Candidates should have direct experience working with CAM-driven screw machines and understand the production environment, tooling, inspection requirements, and precision needed to produce high-quality parts.
This is a long-term career opportunity with opportunities to develop additional skills and grow within a stable precision manufacturing environment.
Set up and operate CAM-driven screw machines to produce precision components.
Operate equipment such as:- Euroturn
Monitor machines during production runs to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
Make appropriate adjustments to maintain part specifications and production requirements.
Troubleshoot production issues and make adjustments to optimize machine performance.
Maintain consistent production while meeting established quality standards.
Inspect parts throughout the production process to verify dimensional accuracy and quality.
Use a wide range of precision measuring and inspection equipment, including:- Calipers
Maintain tight tolerances and identify quality issues before they affect production.
Document measurements and production information as required.
Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.
Hands-on experience operating CAM-driven screw machines is required.
Experience with one or more of the following is strongly preferred:- Euroturn
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
Strong understanding of precision machining and tight tolerances.
Experience using a broad range of precision measuring equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments during production.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
CAM experience is required — CNC experience alone does not qualify.
We are specifically looking for candidates who have hands-on experience operating CAM-driven screw machines and understand the unique requirements of this type of machining.
The position will ultimately work 2nd shift. New hires will initially train on 1st shift to learn the equipment, processes, and production requirements.
The expectation is that the selected candidate will be comfortable transitioning to 2nd shift following successful completion of training.
The ideal candidate is an experienced CAM Drive Operator who can walk onto the production floor and understands how to operate and monitor screw machines without needing to learn the fundamentals from scratch.
