The Phoenix, AZ location, Roadrunner Pharmacy, is a fast-paced compounding pharmacy with a dynamic and energetic team of individuals. We are currently seeking a Pharmacist in the Call Center for our Closed Door Pharmacy. This position will utilize his/her skills and experiences to uphold pharmacy standards for counseling, dispensing, record keeping and quality assurance programs. A pharmacist will be able to demonstrate leadership by coaching and mentoring pharmacy team members.


  • Review and interpret veterinarian orders and prescriptions for appropriateness to ensure that overdoses or under-doses have not been prescribed and that interactions, incompatibilities or toxic compounds will not result from combination of medications.
  • Ability to manage inbound and outbound calls to practitioners, pet parents, and team members within the organization.
  • Manages prescription work flow process, correcting internal and external errors, obtaining prescription documentation, and documenting patient profiles
  • Will verify prescriptions to pets in accordance with policy and in conformance with regulations and laws dealing with the class of prescription; counsels’ patients (pet owners) about their medications and maintains an accurate, up to date profile.
  • Verify the work performed by support personnel, which includes pet drug data entry.
  • The ability to focus on single tasks and quickly complete them is important to being efficient in this role.
  • Ability to use multiple data entry systems, knowledge of prescription prescribing, and multitask between job functions in the call center space.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical calculations and compounded preparations is preferred.


  • Veterinary Compounding experience preferred.
  • Experience with PCAB accreditation preferred.
  • Position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and a current Arizona pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Multiple state licenses preferred.
