Industrial Journeyman Electrician
ISE is an industrial electrical contractor based out of Turlock, CA and expanding to San Luis Obispo, CA. We strive to set the standard in everything we do. Most of our customers include, but are not limited to, food and beverage manufacturing facilities. We provide services such as production line upgrades, power distribution, automation and controls support, and telecommunications infrastructure installations. Scope:
Employer seeking California State certified journeyman to work in a rigorous work environment. Must be versed in all aspects of an industrial journeyman tasks. Will be expected to perform buy output of production. Journeyman will be expected to have the ability to critically think through projects and provide solutions coinciding with customers needs, NEC code, local codes and company standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Study and adhere to the company policies and standards
- Support the telecommunication installation efforts of each project
- Report to each assigned worksite ready to work
- Interact with customer to ensure functionality of installations
- Troubleshoot and fix physical network infrastructure issues
- Install all applicable telecommunications components pertinent to each project (support, cable, terminations)
Required Experience:
- 6+ years’ experience preferred
- California State Certified Journeyman card required
- Certification and/or experience operating man-lifts preferred
- Experience working in industrial environments a plus
Certifications:
- Required - 8000 hours minimum with California State certified journeyman card currently on record. Need not apply if you do not have to this.
- Required – CPR certification.
- Required – OSHA 10 & OSHA 30.
- Preferred – arc flash training and certification.

- Aptitude for learning and implementing new installation methods

- Must be able to legally work in the US
- Lifting capability of 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Able to pass drug testing
- Must have experience in working in or around food processing and industrial environments.
- Must the competent in pipe bending and pipe threading. Conduit types with preferred experience are GRC, ARC, EMT, Ocal & Stainless Steel.
- Must be confident with 480 V main distribution power and distribution systems.
- Will be expected to have Basic knowledge of some control systems for motors and devices.
- Required and expected to guide and enhance multilevel of apprentice experience and guide them to completing jobs.
