We are currently seeking a Sr. Technician, Calibration in our Mechanical Test Lab at our Natrona Heights Operations, in Natrona Heights, PA. This position is a Job Class 8.

This position is responsible for calibration, ordering/inventory, and maintenance of equipment (both breakdown repair & preventive) focused in the Mechanical Test Lab.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal calibrations, coordinate external calibrations (create purchase orders, package for shipment, approve calibration certifications), and maintain the calibration schedule and all calibration documents.
  • Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for all MTL equipment including three computer controlled robotic testing systems. Perform die and punch changes for the tensile punches. Maintain spares inventory for dies and punches and other lab equipment. Maintain all required maintenance and preventive maintenance documents.
  • Must possess knowledge of electrical, mechanical and computer controls to keep testing equipment operating. Knowledge of basic CNC logic is helpful.
  • Coordinate inventory (ordering, receiving, approving), order supplies, and order/coordinate external services to assure proper test turnaround. Maintain all appropriate documents associated with these functions.
