Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cadmium Plating Specialist to join our Clients' dynamic
aerospace manufacturing team in Van Nuys, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cadmium plating processes and be familiar with NADCAP requirements, FAA-regulated production parts, and overhaul operations

Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean metal surfaces for cadmium plating to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Operate and maintain cadmium plating equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform cadmium plating on aerospace components in compliance with NADCAP standards Process FAA production parts and overhaul components to required specifications Monitor plating baths, chemistry, and equipment to ensure quality and consistency Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions Maintain proper documentation and traceability for aerospace compliance Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to quality control procedures Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines
- Monitor plating processes to achieve desired thickness and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests on plated components to verify quality and performance.
- Document plating processes and maintain accurate records of production and quality control.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve any plating issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in plating technologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of cadmium plating experience (aerospace preferred) Strong knowledge of NADCAP and FAA regulations Experience with production parts and MRO (maintenance, repair, and
overhaul) work
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Familiarity with ASTM, AMS, and MIL plating standards is a plus Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plating or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in cadmium plating or similar metal finishing processes.
- Strong understanding of plating chemistry and safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
- Good communication skills and ability to document processes accurately.
