Requirements

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY


The CAD ENGINEER I is primarily responsible for the advancement of the product line(s) with regards to safety, quality, reliability, performance, cost savings, market requirements and manufacturing efficiency/feasibility in a manner that is consistent with the Fulton values and operating philosophy.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:


1) Design Integrity and Verification – Designs components of products and product updates based on market requirements, technical product advancement opportunities, and manufacturability. Develops practical solutions within the production capabilities of the company. This includes the development, approval and release of detailed design drawings for manufacturing and sales.

2) Code Compliance and Product Certification – Ensures all new products, existing products, and modified designs meet the applicable codes and standards.

3) Technical Support – Provides technical support for all inter-company groups (aftermarket parts and service, new equipment sales, purchasing, manufacturing, planning, management, etc.). Provides technical support to incorporate new or modified designs into Fulton’s product offering. Provides technical content for product literature.

4) Product Engineering Changes – Coordinates and completes Engineering Change Requests, as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):


1) Bachelors Degree in Engineering

2) Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Design Principles

3) AutoCAD Inventor proficiency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1) Repetitive Motion - Substantial movement/motion of the wrists, hands and fingers.

2) Sitting - The body is supported by buttocks and back and employee needs to remain seated for extended periods of time.

3) Travel - Work requires travel by car or airplane and includes extended periods of sitting.

4) Walking - Moving about on foot to travel and accomplish tasks, including long distances or site to site.
