Job Summary & Essential Functions
Perform cable assembly tasks for highly complex and critical end use applications. Perform high quality and detailed tasks ensuring high first pass yield and efficiency.
- Read and interpret work instructions and process procedures.
- Read and understand blueprints and drawings
- Perform basic cable assembly process steps including such tasks as wire prep, wire stripping, routing, clean-up and close out.
- Build quality into the product – increase first pass yield, minimize rework and minimize scrap.
- Support process improvements and participate in actively providing solutions.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Operate a variety of equipment to fulfill manufacturing processes
- Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print for simple assemblies
- Ability to use basic hand tools including, but not limited to: dial indicators, torque wrenches, testing devices, etc.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
- Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
- Ability to work in a high volume, high detail work environment
