Wage range - $20 - $26/hr DOE

The Field Service Technician is responsible for resolving problems with Tharp products after installation. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention and increases profitability. The person in this position is essential in satisfying customer expectations and routinely represents the company with end users.


• Provide service and customer support during field visits and dispatches.

• Work closely with Project Managers to close out jobs

• Work with contractors and customers in understanding issues

• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

• Produce timely and detailed service reports

• Operate vehicle in a safe manner

• Fix problems using general woodworking skills

• Conducts vehicle inspections per DOT Regulations

• Clean and maintain vehicle

• Build positive relationships with customers.

• Provide solutions to problems presented at the field installation site

• Must be able clearly communicate problems to Service Manager and Project Manager to provide solutions using their expertise

in cabinet building, trim carpentry, stain and finish.

• Display a basic understanding of the information contained in the Tharp cut sheets and prints

• Display a baseline of understanding of the Tharp Quality requirements

• Ability to work well with a team


Education or Formal Training: High School diploma preferred but not required

Licenses Needed: Colorado Driver’s license and a driving record that meets Tharp’s Requirements. Must be at least 23 years old due to Insurance requirements.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year trim carpentry/cabinet installation/wood working experience or experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Activities and Safety: 40% standing,40% walking, 20 % sitting - Must be able to lift and carry 100 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including wearing safety glasses, gloves and a back brace where required
