As a Senior Principal Software Engineer you are ready to perform as a key contributor, or seasoned leader, within a major software development program. You may also oversee, plan, or review the work of others.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Develop robust and scalable software in C++ running primarily on Linux operating systems using Agile development methods

  • Develop or maintain DevSecOps tooling such as build pipelines, test automation, deployment processes, and configuration management.

  • Plan the work of a small or mid-sized team

  • Participate on a cross-discipline analysis of radar data

  • Provide feedback to other team members based up a review of their work

  • Support or lead software integration and verification activities

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, products, and teaming

  • Employ a breadth of tools such as git, CMake, Eclipse, VSCode, Rational Rhapsody, Atlassian Suite, Coverity, Jenkins, DOORS, Google Test, Qt, etc.

  • Coach and share knowledge to promote the abilities of software engineers earlier in their career

  • Contribute to technical decisions such as software design or hardware selection

  • Convey technical knowledge through oral and written communications

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Experience developing software in C++

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

  • Experience developing software for Linux

  • Experience developing or maintaining radar software desired

  • Experience developing or maintaining hardware control software desired

  • Experience leading a Scrum team as Scrum Master or Product Owner desired

  • Experience developing embedded software desired

  • Experience developing software using CUDA, Python, Matlab, or Java desired

  • Ability to work onsite or remotely as required
