Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, and maintain high-quality sources of supply, ensuring optimal supplier performance

• Inform departments of relevant raw material changes, including price fluctuations, lead times, and specifications

• Address supplier communication gaps, manufacturing concerns, and delivery delays, with occasional site visits if necessary

• Manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and bid requests for high-cost, long-lead-time commodities to secure the best supplier options

Qualifications

• Degree in business or materials management

• At-least 4 years of Purchasing experience

• Understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement and contracts

• Must possess knowledge and use of price and cost analysis and have excellent negotiating skills

• Strong project management skills

• Ability to work extra hours when necessary to handle spikes in workload and meet deadlines is required.
