Keep Production Moving. Build Stronger Supply Partnerships.

As a Buyer at Global Finishing Solutions (GFS), you’ll work closely with our manufacturing teams specifically the electrical department and suppliers to make sure the materials and services we need are available when we need them. You’ll manage assigned commodities, purchase materials based on production needs, and balance availability, inventory, cost, quality, and supplier performance.

From responding to changes in the production schedule to managing supplier relationships and solving material challenges, you’ll play an important role in keeping operations running smoothly. What Success Looks Like 

• Use MRP and production requirements to plan and purchase materials while maintaining appropriate inventory levels
• Manage purchase orders and respond to changes in production schedules, material needs, and supplier availability
• Maintain accurate ERP planning parameters including cost, lead times, safety stock, and order quantities
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing day-to-day ordering, delivery, and performance
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, performance, and overall business needs
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Scheduling, Engineering, and other teams to resolve material issues and keep production moving
• Address supplier and material non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions and financial recovery when appropriate
• Balance material availability with inventory levels to optimize the use of company resources

Qualifications That Shine 

• High school diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of purchasing or buying experience
• Experience working with MRP and/or ERP systems
• Strong computer and basic math skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and frequent interruptions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Transparent Rewards
At GFS, we recognize the dedication behind every role and ensure that our compensation reflects both your impact and our shared success.

Pay Range: $54,631 – $68,771 per year,based on your experience, skills, and qualifications.

Bonus Eligibility: This position is eligible for an annual individual incentive based on company performance. Maximum bonus amounts may vary depending on role.

Actual compensation will be determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, skill level, and market conditions. For remote or hybrid positions, the listed pay range applies to applicants in the specified location.
