Job Overview:

At Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS), we don’t just sell parts – we provide the "heartbeat" for industries worldwide. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, we are a gateway to access the world-class engineering, powertrain solutions, and cutting-edge technology that have made Ford an icon for over a century.

Why Your Work Matters When you join FCS, your reach extends far beyond the driveway. Our components power everything from high-performance marine vessels and rugged industrial machinery to advanced defense vehicles and the next generation of transportation. You’ll be helping diverse industries across the globe reduce development costs and get to market faster using genuine Ford DNA.

We operate with the entrepreneurial spirit of a specialized team, backed by the massive resources and innovation of Ford Motor Company. Since 1947, we’ve been "One Team" dedicated to excellence. Here, you’ll find:

  • Innovation at Scale: From engines and transmissions to the future of multimedia with SYNC™ technology.
  • Global Impact: Work with partners in the industrial, marine, agricultural, and defense sectors.
  • A Legacy of Excellence: Join a culture built on a century of Ford innovation and a commitment to world-class service.

The Role We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative ESG Buyer that manages commercial relationships and negotiations with the supplier network to secure competitive pricing, optimal lead times, and reliable supply of parts and services. By aligning purchasing activities with business objectives, this role ensures cost-efficiency, mitigates commercial risk, and supports uninterrupted production and program launches.

Essential Functions

  • Commercial Negotiations and Cost Stewardship: Negotiates piece pricing, lead times, and minimum order quantities (MOQs) while validating cost breakdowns and challenging unverified price increases to deliver annual purchasing cost-reduction targets and protect profit margins.
  • Sourcing and Program Launch Execution: Manages the Request for Quote (RFQ) process and coordinates purchasing deliverables for new program introductions to select competitive suppliers, meet cost targets, and guarantee on-time production readiness.
  • Supplier Relationships and Commercial Resolution: Cultivates collaborative relationships across the supplier base and resolves commercial disputes, invoice discrepancies, and pricing issues to maintain positive vendor partnerships and protect FCS from unwarranted financial exposure.
  • Supply Continuity and Asset Governance: Partners with supply chain planning teams to resolve supplier delivery bottlenecks, maintains ERP purchasing master data, and tracks company-owned tooling located at supplier facilities to prevent part shortages, ensure billing accuracy, and protect corporate capital investments.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or commercial negotiations

We Offer An attractive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, bonus, 401(k) with company match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement assistance.
