The Business Systems Analyst/Developer will be responsible for working with the plant business leaders, Local IT team and Corporate IT teams to sustain EnerSys business applications, with a focus on the Springfield site.
Technical experience optimizing manufacturing and quality applications to support business needs, while providing excellent customer service to users. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, driven, and accountable. You should also possess a passion for problem solving and story building to answer business questions and explain what the data shows. You should have a keen eye for detail and possess excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. You should be flexible and be able to quickly adapt to evolving priorities and work closely with cross-functional teams to strategize and develop solutions.
It is imperative for this resource to drive consistency in the implementation of systems and best practices and understand LEAN methodologies. This position will require solid communication skills, the ability to build relationships and drive a consistent agenda. The ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere effectively is critical.
This role will also report dotted line to a local IT Supervisor to provide service desk tier 2 and applications support. From time to time, there may also be a requirement to take on additional service desk functions to cover resource gaps, or where additional support is required.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferably in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other Business degree with information technology course work
3 years experience in business or systems analysis in a hi-tech, manufacturing environment
Ability to organize, specify and model all requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous
Define and document user & functional requirements for full lifecycle systems implementations and enhancements
Ability to use and communicate value obtained through use of reporting and analytics
Develop test cases, conduct UAT and training at the application and multi-application level
Must be able to work with the plant operations teams to support their SCADA requirements. This will require an understanding of PLC communications, SQL data structures, and Report and Dashboard creation and configuration
Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Self-motivated, ability to lead projects, and manage multiple work streams with little supervision
Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes
