Job Summary
Hoffman Building Technologies is seeking a Business Operations Manager to optimize and streamline our operational processes in HVAC, building automation, and energy solutions. This role will ensure efficient business functions, improve workflow, and drive strategic growth by managing cross-functional teams and operational performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in operations, project management, and financial oversight within the HVAC, construction, or building technology industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure seamless workflow across departments.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Identify bottlenecks in business processes and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Drive process automation and leverage technology to optimize operations.
Project & Resource Management
- Collaborate with sales, project management, field service teams, and technicians to ensure smooth project execution.
- Coordinate service and installation schedules for optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor supply chain and procurement processes, ensuring materials and equipment arrive on time and within budget.
Financial & Performance Analysis
- Manage budgets, job costing, and financial reporting to support profitability.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide strategic insights for decision-making.
- Work closely with finance and accounting teams to streamline billing and collections.
Leadership & Team Coordination
- Lead and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between sales, service, and administration teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or a similar role within HVAC, building automation, construction, or related industries.
- Proficiency in ERP, CRM, project management software, and scheduling tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and energy solutions is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS), energy management, or smart building technologies.
- PMP, Six Sigma, or LEED certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with vendor management and supply chain logistics in HVAC.
