As a Business Development Manager, you'll meet with customers, facilitate new business opportunities, and develop and execute capture strategies. You'll oversee market assessment, monitor market activity, identify customer needs, and provide assistance for new product development planning activities. Your duties will also include assessing program opportunities against target market, core proficiency, revenue potential, company ability, and projected business forecasts.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.   • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
    • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
    • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Strong reading, writing and communication skills
  • Knowledge in Electronic Warfare Theories and practices
  • Ability to collaborate with the MST / Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) Leadership to identify and secure partnerships, opportunities and identify new opportunities
  • The ability to provide clear status reports on customer engagements and inputs to MST/EMS business processes and reviews
  • A successful candidate will have a deep technical understanding of the full scope of electronic warfare to include: Electronic Attack (electromagnetic jamming, deception, anti-radiation missiles, expendables, and Directed Energy), Electronic Support (threat warning, collection, direction finding), Electronic Protection (spectrum management, electromagnetic hardening, emission control, war reserve modes), signal processing, spectral solutions, communications, and hardware/software solutions
  • Understanding of US Defense Market and Acquisition processes to include Defense Budget, Funding Sources and Flow down of budget
  • Background in civilian US Department of Defense, Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Military or US Government S&T and R&D communities familiar with EW, SIGINT, and CEMA
  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances


  • Familiarization of Electronic Warfare Equipment employed onboard DoD platforms with a focus on those offered vis FMS
  • Experience with International Sales considered a bonus
  • Understanding of DoD Hierarchy, with a focus of Secretary of Defense, Under Secretaries, Military Service Branches and specific chain of command
  • Familiarization with Defense Acquisition Workforce Requirements and processes
  • Familiarization of agencies involved within Security Cooperation/Security Assistance area of expertise and effort

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
