Job Overview:

The Business Solutions Manager - Supply Chain Management partners with management and key users to identify, evaluate, and implement solutions that leverage technology to meet the goals of the business.  This position assists in improving business processes that support critical business strategies by managing the development and implementation of new solutions and/or the enhancement and maintenance of existing business application systems and processes.

This role performs under general direction of the Director of IT Management.


Detailed Description:

  • Function as solutions architect for applications and solutions
  • Responsible for evaluating the organization’s business needs and determining how IT can support those needs with technology solutions and processes
  • Maintain PTP, SCM, Inventory and other supporting applications
  • Lead design workshops with key users documenting their business requirements and developing solutions to address their needs within the overall corporate strategy
  • Continually reassess existing business process and systems and consider alternative solutions
  • Keep abreast of best practices and recommend changes when appropriate to the key business users
  • Develop both high level and detailed business requirement documentation to support application upgrades, enhancement, and add-on functionality
  • Provide support for current business applications as required by assisting users and production support personnel in resolving issues in system programs and processes
  • Work with other appropriate personnel to ensure a coherent and unified approach to the planning, development, and delivery of technology solutions
  • Develop testing process and specific test cases for new applications or processes to ensure that business requirements are met
  • Educate business partners on roles, responsibilities, processes, and deliverables required to support the effective delivery of new technology solutions
  • Effectively communicate with company leadership across business functions
  • Adhere to and promote company core values
  • May directly or indirectly manage direct reports and/or third-party contractors
  • May be involved with vendor selection and negotiations and perform vendor management functions
  • Act as Project Manager on various projects and initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Experience using and/or implementing Oracle R12.2 Purchasing and Inventory modules
  • Experience implementing supply chain management best practices
  • Experience implementing Materials Requirement Planning, Min/Max, ABC Count Cycles, and/or Warehouse Management
  • Experience building and supporting AME workflows
  • Experience managing Oracle RUP patch test cycles
  • Experience in integration between Oracle R12.2 and 3rd party system such as Enverus/Open Invoice, Coupa, GEP, Ariba, Concur, or Oracle Cloud SCM
  • Ability to document user business requirements, develop technical specifications, and configure applications
  • Experience using Oracle tools and technology with firm understanding of Oracle table structure
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycle methodology
  • Understanding of project management methodology and tools
  • Strong customer service mindset with ability to appropriately balance risk with service delivery expectations
  • Strong problem-solving skills – applicant must be able to determine the causes of complex problems and recommend practical and effective solutions
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct in-person and virtual meetings, working sessions, and training
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects to meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work occasional extended hours (evenings or weekends) when required to meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Must be available for occasional travel including overnight travel to Company business offices and locations
  • Maintain professional appearance and manner
  • Ability to always maintain Company and employee confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information and protect Company proprietary information in an appropriate manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study, or relevant work experience
  • 6+ years of experience configuring, implementing, upgrading and/or using Oracle eBusiness applications, R12, specifically those associated with the SCM, Inventory, and Purchasing
  • Managed team of internal and outsourced resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using and/or implementing 3rd party systems such as Enverus/Open Invoice, Coupa, GEP, Ariba, Concur, Oracle Cloud SCM, or Vertex
  • Experience using RPA applications
  • Experience using CloudIO

Additional Details:

  • Work is primarily in a climate controlled/office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Applicants for employment must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States. Relocation is not required, through a remote work model candidates may reside in the Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City, and surrounding areas.
