IT Business Analyst/Integration Specialist

 



Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc., is seeking a business analyst to support the ongoing evolution of Great Plains’ business and manufacturing processes, and to facilitate their integration with the enterprise architecture of our corporate parent, Kubota Corporation. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology and operates out of Great Plains’ Salina, KS-based corporate office.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-include the following.  Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

  • Act as liaison, evaluator, tester, and advocate for Great Plains’ business needs, as they relate to collaborative initiatives with our corporate parent, including the future development and integration of business, engineering, and manufacturing data and processes with SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Facilitate the roll out of next-gen manufacturing processes in new facilities, as well as process improvements in existing facilities.
  • Work with the ERP team to support, build, and expose business logic on the current IBMi ERP system. 
  • Collaborate with web and middleware development team to evaluate needs and gather specifications for custom internal, B2B, and B2C applications. Facilitate access to data and logic from enterprise systems to consuming applications and services.
  • Support the integration of business analytics reporting tools.
  • Support the maintenance of master data and the integration of current master data schemas with emerging data governance requirements.

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related technical field, and/or three to five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment and/or a deep conceptual understanding of enterprise systems and processes.
  • Fluency writing SQL and strong understanding of relational database design.
  • Experience with IBM System i would be a plus.
  • Experience with SAP would be beneficial.
  • A strong commitment to writing clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Strong project management skills and a willingness to immerse oneself in long-term projects.
  • An autonomous work ethic, and the ability to collaborate, build rapport, and negotiate among interested parties throughout the organization.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and skill building.
