Business Analyst Position Summary:  The Business Analyst will have opportunities to learn how to think creatively and solve business problems using various machine learning and business intelligence tools.  They will also gain experience in many of the functional areas of the business by administrating and improving the analytical decision-making systems that are used around the business.  By learning a wide array of business processes and analytical tools, the position will help the organization identify business needs and design, manage, and implement new solutions to help improve the business.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn how to solve business problems using DataRobot and other AI/ML applications
  • Gain experience in several functional areas of the business by administrating and improving their analytical systems including inventory planning and CRM
  • Learn to use advanced reporting and BI applications such as Qlik to analyze and answer business needs
  • Gain experience with data structures, data manipulation, and data cleaning using various tools
  • Work with various business units to identify business problems, KPIs, or business improvement opportunities
  • Take projects from initial inception through final completion incorporating and documenting project scope and objectives, creating project timelines, monitoring and reporting on project milestones, and identifying and addressing any issues which may impact progress.
  • Promote data-aided decision-making around the business by identifying business analytics solutions, interviewing business users, analyzing processes/operations, and establishing solution objectives.
  • Understand and assist at different stages of the data project pipeline: idea generation, value and feasibility assessment, data gathering, data cleaning, analysis/modeling, iterative improvement, integration into decision making
  • Gather information and write functional specifications to meet highly complex business needs, lead project teams and group facilitation sessions in the design and development cycles.
  • Perform other related duties as required.


  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field but a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (including Microsoft Excel)
  • Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this position are consistent with typical office environments. Qualified candidates must be able to spend up to 8 hours per day working on a computer (sitting or standing) while utilizing fine motor skills to type on a keyboard. 

This position is an exempt role with an annual salary range of $65,000-$75,000. The salary range is negotiable based on education and experience.  Individuals in the Business Analyst role are eligible to participate in the quarterly incentive program.
