If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision, we want to hear from you!
Machine Setup & Operation
Set up and calibrate the CNC plasma table for daily production runs based on job work orders.
Select and install appropriate consumables, including torch tips, nozzles, shields, and electrodes, matching the metal type and thickness.
Adjust machine parameters such as gas pressures, travel speeds, torch height, and kerf compensation to achieve optimal cut quality.
Monitor the cutting process continuously to identify errors, system faults, or defects, making real-time corrections.
Material Handling & Programming
Load and unload raw steel, aluminum, or other metal plates onto the plasma cutting table using overhead cranes, forklifts, or magnets.
Download, input, and modify G-code or CNC cutting programs via network connection, flash drives, or the machine's shape library.
Generate part nestings to minimize scrap material and optimize plate utilization.
Track plate inventory, including cataloging and measuring usable drop/remnant materials for future jobs.
Quality Control & Finishing
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols to verify product specifications and tolerances.
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to ensure accuracy.
Post-process parts by grinding, deburring, drilling, or cleaning cut edges to prepare them for secondary operations or welding.
Mark and organize completed components with corresponding job and piece numbers, stacking them neatly on pallets or bins.
Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine preventative maintenance on the plasma table, such as checking coolant levels, draining water tables, clearing slag, and cleaning machine rails.
Change out gas tanks (oxygen, nitrogen, plasma gases) safely and alert supervisors to any complex mechanical or electrical issues.
Maintain a clean workspace and strictly adhere to all workshop safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
