Pay

Hourly pay starting at $25.35/hour

Work Schedule:

2nd Shift, Monday-Friday (2:30pm-10:30pm), but may vary

Job Overview:

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Bulk Flour Receiving Operator to work at our facility in Springfield, MO. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Bulk Flour Receiving Operator is primarily responsible for receiving and storing bulk flour from rail cars and trucks. Other duties include, but are not limited to:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Record keeps as required on manual, computer, and other systems. Ensures documentation is accurately completed using QCMS guidelines.

  • Maintains Kraft Heinz quality standards by checking quality of seals, code dates, labels, packaging of product, weights, odor, color, temperature of product, etc.).

  • Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Rail car management and communicates with the railroad and Logistics to order rail cars.

  • Take samples of product to ensure Kraft Heinz quality.

  • Communicates through e-mail and or phone with Quality on COA’s and other documentation

  • Must follow GMP’s as outlined in handbook.

  • Reports and/or corrects unsafe acts or conditions.

  • Transports finished product to appropriate storage area

  • Performs all cleaning procedures affecting this area.

  • Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft Heinz quality standards are maintained in the work area.

  • Provide break relief for various jobs in the department.

  • Must be able to work with others- Team Work

  • Dismantles, cleans and reassembles assigned equipment according to Kraft Heinz Standards and supervisor’s directions.

  • Performs variety of maintenance-type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.

  • Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications and SAP.

  • Operate phosphine gas meters during hot months

  • Will be required to be involved in process improvement opportunities (IL6S)

  • Must maintain processing equipment by unitizing the IL6S system and settings.

  • Must participate in Oscar Board practices and 5S ownership of the area.

  • Accountable for Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards as outlines in the Springfield QRMP(Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the Springfield QRMP accountability document.

Minimum Requirements:

Basic math, reading and communication skills

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications:

  • Will be required to work from vertilifts, ladders and platforming.

  • Will be required to pass respirator fit test.

  • Will be required to pass confined space training.

Physical Requirements:

Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting and reaching to both ground level and overhead; lifts, carries, pushes, routinely pulls and moves up to 100 pounds; holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment. Must be able to stand while inserting components. Must be able to do sustained activity jobs.

Working Environments:

Primarily indoors, hot and humid, subject to dusty conditions; temperature can vary up to 100 degrees during warm weather months. During Sanitation can be exposed to wet conditions. Will be required to work from Verti lifts, ladders and platforming. Will be required to pass respirator fit test. Will be required to pass confined space training.
