Position Purpose: Responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance tasks performed on facilities and equipment. Performs complex building repairs using various technical skills (e.g., carpentry, electrical and plumbing.) Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime. Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures. Oversees mechanics/technicians who repair and maintain equipment. Maintains inventory of operational supplies. Conducts weekly and monthly building inspections for needed repairs and safety hazards. Maintains compliance with health and safety regulations. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company:
Position Responsibilities:- Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management, problem resolution and daily/weekly/monthly activities and priorities. Train staff on safety procedures, equipment use, and emergency protocols.
- Develops and implements preventative maintenance schedules for all facilities and equipment including refrigeration systems, conveyors, battery, forklifts, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS) and energy management systems.
- Manages the maintenance budgets, purchase orders and vendor contracts.
- Coordinate repairs and upgrades with minimal disruption to warehouse and distribution operations.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests and trouble shoot issues as needed.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance logs, compliance documentation and repair histories.
- Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Coordinate renovation and construction projects with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Oversees and maintains warehouse by, but not limited to: repairing concrete floors, roll-up dock doors, and racks; replacing lights and light fixtures; replacing plumbing and fixtures; and installing, repairing and texturing drywall. Services air conditioning units. Remodels and decorates rooms as needed; paints large and small areas.
- Coordinates outside building contractors and controls in place.
- Keeps accurate records/files of work orders for preventative maintenance and monitors ammonia cooling systems.
- Repairs in-house vending machines, as needed or works with contracted company as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Required Experience: 4-6 Years
Two or more years of experience in each of the trades (i.e., carpentry electrical and plumbing), five or more years
of experience working on commercial heating and air conditioning units and refrigeration systems. 2 + years in a Team lead or supervisory experience.
Organizational and leadership skills
Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Associates/2-year technical
Business management or related technical/vocational
Preferred Experience: 6 - 10 Years
Trades, commercial heating and air conditioning units and refrigeration system experience within foodservice industry. 3+ years Supervisory experience.
Proficiency in Computerized maintenance management systems or similar organization methods
Preferred Professional Certification(s): Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technical Certification; Ammonia refrigeration training and certification.
