Job Description

Overview: To provide general building maintenance, repair and upkeep of Polar occupied facilities

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Install, replace, and repair fixtures, equipment, and building components as needed
• General building maintenance; Painting, Carpentry, Tile Repair and Installation, Cement work in buildings, etc.
• Keeping sidewalks & walkways clear of snow during the winter
• Ordering and maintaining appropriate parts inventories 
• Must understand the company’s commitment to food, safety, quality, and continuous improvement as outlined in the Polar Beverages Safety and Quality Policy and to understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job. 
• Must understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and to ensure GMP compliance of fellow employees. 
• Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality

Minimum Requirements:

• Good driving record
• Must frequently use hand(s) for repetitive movement single grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Must frequently bend, twist, squat, climb and reach.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Light mechanical aptitude across multiple areas; general construction, facilities maintenance experience, or hands-on trade work (plumbing, electrical, or HVAC)
• Must be adaptable, flexible and be able to prioritize
• Weekends are required
