What you need to know:

We are currently looking to fill general labor manufacturing jobs fabricating wood components; we value experience in woodworking and machine operation. However, if you have an interest in learning manufacturing, a good attendance record and the disposition to learn our process, we want to speak with you. We are looking for 1st and 2nd shift support. Details of the job:

Load, unload and stack wood components for edge banding equipment such as: Homag, Stefani, Ambition and Straight Edge-banders.
Support with preparation and clean up of our daily operation and meet daily production goals.
Maintain your area clean.
Inspect and ensure all products are defect free before passing on.
Have the willingness to learn critical defects, thicknesses, finishes and grains.
Work in a team setting with the operator to ensure the machine set ups and systems are being executed appropriately such as: adjusting Offset, Temperature, Pressure, and Speed as changes in conditions and materials require.
Understand and maintain glue systems and adhesiveness of materials bring fabricated.
Operate conveyer and lift table interfaces and control, and integrated robotics.
Learn to operate all machinery used in the manufacturing process.
Lead the productivity, quality and safety of your area.
Help other areas of our manufacturing process as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing or other fast-paced environment is crucial.
Ability to read and understand work orders and overall instructions given.
Ability to read tape measure and/or calipers or willingness to lean it.
Able to work as part of a team.
Push, pull or lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to do basic math.
Ability to stand on your feet the duration of your shift.

Working Conditions

Temperatures ranging from hot and humid to cold
loud, ear plugs are required
saw dust
Lifting heavy boards, anything more than 50 lbs, two-person lift
walking, standing, kneeling and bending the entire shift
safety glasses are required
