POSITION SUMMARY
The Brewing and Cellar Technician will provide day-to-day responsibility in the effective and safe process of brewing and cellar operations. All Production Team members at OBC should regularly demonstrate dynamic flexibility and a desire to deliver assistance in all areas of the plant to get the job done.
This position includes a rotating shift, including night (with pay differential), and weekend work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Cellar Functions
Responsible for centrifuge operation, carbonation, dry hopping, adjunct additions, fermentation monitoring, and environmental cleaning
Mix and blend raw materials, water, and other necessary ingredients per recipe
Clean and sanitize the fermentation vessels, processing equipment, and associated environment
Provide support of yeast monitoring, harvesting, and pitching functions
Operation of flash pasteurizer and barrel work
Brewhouse Functions
Ensure the quality of wort production by coordinating the day-to-day, on-shift brewing processes, both independently and within a team environment
Clean the brewing vessels, processing equipment, and associated environment
Includes Hop Cooler and Malt Handling Room
Weigh and stage raw materials for Brewhouse and Cellar consumption in a timely and organized manner
Includes raw material preparation for pilot facilities
Generally
Adheres to code of conduct
Follow existing policies, practices, and procedures according to established SOPs
Work with the team to
Identify issues to improve processes
Address problems as they arise
Troubleshoot and report any mechanical issues
Provide general process equipment maintenance as necessary
Supports new ideas and helps to implement them
Identifies and reports quality or efficiency concerns
Contribute to the development and improvement of the team
Committed to continuing education to enhance competency and ability to innovate, improve, and increase efficiency of the Brewing and Cellar Teams
Attend and participate in company and team meetings
Assist with inventory control processes both physically and digitally (SAP)
Create and cultivate an inclusive environment for co-workers, customers, and community members

COMPENSATION
Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
Hourly Rate Range:
$24.00 - $28.00/hr depending on experience
