Brake Press Operator

Location: Bonham, TX

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Overtime may be required between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM, including occasional Saturdays.

Job Summary

Snelling is hiring an experienced Brake Press Operator for a growing manufacturing facility in Bonham, TX. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with previous brake press experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press machines to produce quality parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Select and install the proper tooling for each production run.
• Perform machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers as needed.
• Maintain high production output while meeting quality standards.
• Conduct required quality inspections and document inspection results.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and document maintenance activities.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, or documentation issues to supervision.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to ensure production goals are met.
• Utilize proper bending techniques and efficient manufacturing practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous brake press operation experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience selecting and setting up tooling.
• Ability to use measuring tools to verify part quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, twist, and lift materials throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery.
