Brake Press/ Punch Press Machine Operator – Direct Hire

TOPS Staffing has partnered with a well-established precision manufacturer to hire Press Brake / Punch Operators for a direct hire opportunity. Work Schedule

4 x 10s work schedule

Choose from - Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday

Daylight Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

or

Night Shift: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Pay & Shift Differential

$20–$30 per hour based on experience

$1.50 per hour shift differential for off-shifts

What you will do

As a Press Brake / Punch Operator, you will set up and run press brakes, turret punches, and related CNC equipment to form parts to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brakes, punches, and bending equipment

• Read blueprints and job specifications to determine setup and sequence

• Select correct punches, dies, and materials

• Adjust machine settings, tooling locations, and CNC programs as needed

• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and laser inspection tools

• Deburr, finish, and protect parts during and after production

• Perform routine equipment maintenance

• Move materials safely using forklifts or pallet jacks

• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years of press brake or punch operation experience

• Ability to set up press brakes independently

• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills

• Experience selecting punches and dies and calculating bend allowances

• Comfortable editing CNC programs and adjusting machine parameters is preferred

• Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure, gauges)

• Strong safety awareness and reliable attendance

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

You should be proficient in:
