Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities around the world is seeking a full-time, Hybrid Warehouse/Driver. Reporting to the Operations Manager.
Schedule: Full-time, Weekdays
Pay: $21/hour, paid weekly

The Warehouse/Driver position has the responsibility of assisting in the transportation of donated materials, as well as, the loading and unloading of materials from company trucks and contractors into the warehouse for efficient processing.
Warehouse responsibilities contribute to the company’s success by ensuring accurate and timely packaging, bailing, and bagging of donated clothing for shipment. In addition, each employee is responsible for the careful transfer, packaging, and storage of materials and the effective utilization of resources. The position involves forklift operation, processing unloaded material, recycling, and general cleaning through a variety of mechanisms including the use of rolling carts, fork trucks, and manual labor.
The transportation responsibility of driving trucks of multiple sizes up to 20-foot box trucks and transporting material from host locations to Planet Aid Business Unit; the driver will service the sites and routes provided by Planet Aid. The employee will be responsible for collecting all bagged and loose clothes\shoes in and around the bins. The driver will also be responsible for the proper maintenance of the sites which includes cleaning and collecting all and disposing of any unusable items in and around the bins.
The percentage of time split between Warehouse and transportation duties is dependent on business needs and may vary with seasonal demand. Additional moving between tasks may require some flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Degree and 1 year of driving small commercial trucks: or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret maps and GPS technology. Complete paperwork accurately and completely and understand the importance of detail. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors and employees. Must be able to read, speak, write and understand Basic English.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is required to drive for a sustained period of time (within DOT standards). The employee is required to stand for a long period of time. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to push up to 300 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee must be able to be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions
