Job Overview:

Bottling & Line Technician

Star Staffing is seeking an experienced Bottling & Line Technician to support both our in-house sparkling wine production facility and our mobile bottling operations throughout California.

Position: Bottling & Disgorging Line Technician

Location: California — In-house facility and mobile winery sites

Travel: Frequent travel throughout California required

Schedule: Based on production and mobile bottling schedules

Direct Hire Opportunity

Pay rate $30/hr

This is a hands-on technical position for someone who understands bottling equipment, enjoys solving mechanical problems, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, adaptable, safety-minded, and comfortable traveling to winery client sites throughout California.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up, operate, monitor, adjust, and break down bottling and disgorging lines
  • Travel to wineries throughout California for scheduled mobile bottling projects
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and minor electrical issues in real time
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation
  • Monitor line performance and make adjustments to optimize efficiency and product quality
  • Ensure bottling operations meet quality, safety, and winery-specific standards
  • Maintain accurate production, equipment, and maintenance records
  • Train and support other production staff as needed
  • Follow all company, winery, safety, sanitation, and food/beverage handling protocols
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with winery bottling, disgorging, or beverage production preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with bottling equipment
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment issues
  • Calm, resourceful approach to troubleshooting under pressure
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout California for mobile bottling projects
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Basic understanding of sanitation and food/beverage safety practices
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Dependable, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to share knowledge and help train fellow team members
  • Forklift experience is a plus
