Position Summary:

Operates Bore Machine ensuring quality outcome on furniture.

Position Details:

• Reads daily production schedule and gathers parts as needed
• Determines which boring machine is the one that needs to be used for part on schedule
• Reads dimensions on ticket and sets up boring machine accordingly
• Sets up depth and diameter of hole/holes being bored - in most cases it is necessary to find and match parts
• Runs part and loads onto shop buggy and takes to the next operation needed
• Observes plant safety rules
• Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous Bore Machine experience preferred

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 8 hours
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Must be able to read route sheets
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 5 lbs; up to 25 lbs. with assistance
• Must be able to push/pull up to 100 with assistance
• Must be able to load trucks
