Build. Fabricate. Install. Troubleshoot.

Custom Truck One Source is seeking a skilled Boom Assembler Technician to join our Kansas City team. This hands-on position is ideal for mechanics, welders, hydraulic technicians, or electrical technicians who enjoy building, modifying, troubleshooting, and installing specialty equipment on commercial vehicles.

If you have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment, we want to hear from you.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• Day Shift
• Overtime available as needed

What You'll Do

• Install, remove, and modify cranes and crane-related equipment
• Perform truck wheelbase modifications and suspension installations
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Fabricate and install custom components for crane assemblies
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and quality inspections on cranes and equipment
• Follow work orders, blueprints, and installation instructions
• Test equipment and verify repairs before release
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area
• Document completed work and communicate with parts and service departments
• Participate in safety meetings and technical training

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a mechanic, assembler, welder, hydraulic technician, electrician, heavy equipment technician, diesel technician, or similar skilled trade
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions
• Must provide your own hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work including bending, kneeling, and climbing
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical school, military maintenance training, ASE certifications, welding certifications, or related experience are a plus
