Job Overview:
Looking for a motivated and experienced Boiler Technician to join a local mill. If you have heavy equipment experience and enjoy a hands-on, dynamic role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Position Details:
- Work Schedule: Rotating shift, is required to work both day and overnight shifts.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Operate front-end loaders and control conveyors to supply fuel to boilers.
Maintain and operate the hog system.
Conduct basic water chemistry tests, including:- Reading and logging water meters, gauges, and sight glasses.
- Changing water and air filters.
Assist with repairs to boilers, piping, valves, and gauges as needed.
Monitor fuel types such as chips, sawdust, shavings, and bark, and report conditions to the power plant operator.
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule to ensure boilers remain operational.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor work in the yard and operating heavy equipment in varying weather conditions.
- Indoor work overseeing and operating the boiler system once training is completed.
