Boiler Service Mechanic

Salary: $35/hr - $40/hr

Shift: Multiple Shifts Available

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Boiler Service Mechanic to install, maintain and repair commercial and industrial boiler systems. This role requires experience with boiler maintenance, combustion systems, welding, pipefitting and mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot and repair boilers, burners and related equipment.

• Diagnose combustion issues involving ignition, flame, fuel delivery, airflow and draft.

• Service gas trains, valves, regulators, ignitors, flame scanners and safeguard controls.

• Perform combustion testing and burner adjustments.

• Repair pumps, motors, blowers, feedwater and condensate systems.

• Complete boiler retubing, refractory repairs, hydrostatic testing and inspections.

• Fabricate and repair piping using welding, brazing and cutting equipment.

• Read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.

• Complete service reports and communicate findings to customers and supervisors.

• Follow OSHA, LOTO and company safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

• 3+ years of boiler, burner, combustion or industrial mechanical experience.

• Welding and pipefitting experience required.

• Knowledge of steam and hot-water boilers and safety controls.

• ASME welding certification is a plus.

• Valid driver’s licence and basic computer skills.

• Willingness to travel and work overtime.

***Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

• Comfortable working from ladders and in boiler rooms or confined areas.

• Able to work in hot, cold and non-climate-controlled environments.

• Must pass required drug screening and background checks.
