Boiler Service Mechanic

Salary: $35/hr - $50/hr

Shift: Multiple Shifts Available

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Boiler Service Mechanic to install, maintain and repair commercial and industrial boiler systems. This role requires experience with boiler maintenance, combustion systems, welding, pipefitting and mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

•Install, troubleshoot and repair boilers, burners and related equipment.

•Diagnose combustion issues involving ignition, flame, fuel delivery, airflow and draft.

•Service gas trains, valves, regulators, ignitors, flame scanners and safeguard controls.

•Perform combustion testing and burner adjustments.

•Repair pumps, motors, blowers, feedwater and condensate systems.

•Complete boiler retubing, refractory repairs, hydrostatic testing and inspections.

•Fabricate and repair piping using welding, brazing and cutting equipment.

•Read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.

•Complete service reports and communicate findings to customers and supervisors.

•Follow OSHA, LOTO and company safety procedures.

Qualifications:

•High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

•3+ years of boiler, burner, combustion or industrial mechanical experience.

•3+ years of industrial electrical and controls experience.

•Welding and pipefitting experience required.

•Knowledge of steam and hot-water boilers and safety controls.

•ASME welding certification is a plus.

•Valid driver’s licence and basic computer skills.

•Willingness to travel and work overtime.

•Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

•Comfortable working from ladders and in boiler rooms or confined areas.

•Able to work in hot, cold and non-climate-controlled environments.

•Must pass required drug screening and background checks.
