Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of boiler operation, process and maintenance by assisting boiler operators. 
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, including washing, greasing, and other maintenance functions. 
  • Maintain records and documentation for boilers and kilns (environmental, output, maintenance, and tolerances.)
  • Operate a variety of forklifts for loading and unloading kilns. 
  • Read instruments and gauges to identify problems.
  • Fill in for other positions when needed 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to learn, develop, and apply an understanding of environmental regulations associated with kilns, boilers, steam, and air/fuel mixtures. 
  • Successful experience in a previous role requiring strong math skills or gauge reading. 
  • Basic understanding of the role boiler/kilns play in overall plant operation.
  • 1-year experience operating rolling stock equipment
