This individual will assist in the safe and efficient operation of boilers and associated equipment. Duties include monitoring furnace condition for bed depth, burn out, clinker formations, and proper operation of stokers. This individual will monitor boiler feed pumps for proper operation and records on logs. This candidate will insure lights off and secure gas burner operation. Checking for proper operation of pollution control equipment is essential. Requirements will be performing steam system warm-up, cut-in, and boiler operations in the field. Assisting with water testing, chemical mixing, and demineralizer and clarifier operation are requirements for the job. Additional duties are maintaining daily operational log, cleaning work area, tools, and equipment daily. Specific duties are performing or assisting with preventive maintenance.

Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training in similar situation. Internal candidates must have completed qualification standards for prior position in company's line of progression. Knowledge of combustion conditions, gas burner and boiler and turbine generator operations, and water treatment.
