The primary function of the Body Shop Technician is to perform body work on customer equipment in a superior and thorough manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Supervises the care, storage and usage of all materials used in company painting processes in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains safety standards within all applicable governmental guidelines, including state fire and health codes, and federal OSHA guidelines.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Working knowledge of all aspects of painting body parts and bodies of vehicles, including hand and power tools. Two years of experience as vehicle painter or apprentice. Valid driver's license. Ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
This is a physically demanding position. Will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
