Job Overview:

Join Schwing America as a Blaster Operator! We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our production team. In this role, you'll prepare and blast heavy equipment components that play a critical role in our industry-leading concrete equipment. What You'll Do

  • Prepare parts and equipment for blasting and primer application.
  • Operate the PBC Autoblast System to achieve the required surface finish.
  • DA Sanding, vacuuming and pressure washing.
  • Clean interior of fuel, hydraulic, and water tanks. 
  • Inspect blasted and primed parts throughout the process and make equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs on blasting and painting equipment.
  • Move materials using forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Operate barcode scanners and computer systems to track production.
  • Assist with training or providing guidance to less experienced employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in industrial blasting, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating industrial equipment, pressure feed systems, forklifts, cranes, and common hand tools.
  • Experience with blasting equipment such as a PBC Autoblast System is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computers and handheld barcode scanners.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Must be able to work on the production floor for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to wear and annually qualify for respiratory protection due to exposure to dust, fumes, paint, and other industrial coatings.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
