If you've done sandblasting, painting, auto body, powder coating, or hands-on shop or construction work, you already have a head start. We'll teach you the rest.
At our Pittsburgh plant, you'll blast and coat the steel tanks and piping that go into our water and air purification systems. You'll get strong, steady pay, benefits from your first day, and hands-on training in industrial coating skills you can build a career on.
What You'll Do
- Sandblast the outside of small steel tanks and piping until they're clean and ready to coat
- Prep parts for painting by cleaning, wiping, taping and masking
- Help our painters mix and apply paints and linings
- Check your own work with simple gauges and fill out the inspection paperwork. We'll show you how.
- Track temperature and humidity in the shop so coatings go on correctly
- Drive a forklift to move parts (we'll certify you)
- Pitch in wherever the team needs help
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- Some experience in physical, hands-on work such as manufacturing, construction, a warehouse, auto body, painting, or the military
- Comfort working on your feet all shift in a full blast suit, helmet and respirator (we provide all PPE)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and kneel, crouch and reach throughout the day
- Ability to work a rotating schedule across all three shifts
- A safety-first attitude and pride in doing the job right
Nice to Have, Not Required
- Abrasive blasting or industrial painting experience
- Forklift experience
- SSPC/AMPP coating or blasting training
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours/week on a 4-week rotation:
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (2 weeks)
- 2nd shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (1 week)
- 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 6:30 AM (1 week)
- $3.00/hr shift differential on qualifying shifts
- Overtime available
Pay & Benefits
- $27.00/hr starting pay, about $56,000 a year before overtime and shift differential
- +$3.00/hr shift differential on qualifying shifts
- $500 retention bonus after 9 months

Where You'll Grow
Blaster I is the entry point to our coatings team. As you build your skills, you can move up to Blaster II and Industrial Sprayer at our Equipment & Assembly Plant.
