Blast Machine Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Blast Machine Operator to join our Client's manufacturing team in Jonesboro, AR. This position is responsible for operating industrial blasting equipment to clean and prepare heavy steel components used in construction and heavy equipment manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial environment and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

This company manufactures steel machine parts for heavy equipment manufacturers and operates a large production facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate abrasive blasting and sandblasting equipment to prepare metal parts for coating or fabrication
• Load and unload steel components using forklifts, hoists, or overhead cranes
• Inspect parts before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met
• Remove rust, scale, paint, and surface contaminants from fabricated steel parts
• Monitor blast pressure, media flow, and machine settings for proper operation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on blasting equipment
• Replace blasting media and report equipment issues to maintenance personnel
• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards
• Read work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
• Assist other departments as needed to meet production goals

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating industrial blast or sandblasting equipment preferred

• Manufacturing or heavy industrial experience strongly preferred

• Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
