Summary: The Folder Operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment, and safe operation of the MBO/Stahl Folding machine. The MBO/Stahl automatically folds, slits, perforates and/ or scores printed sheets in preparation for binding or shipment.
Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, or similar. Training may occur other times.
Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 hourly
Compensation commensurate with experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Access the batching system to view batch lists and identify priority jobs to be completed
• Review job specifications to determine page sequence, type of fold paper size and packing requirements
• Pre-set side guide, fold plates, fold rollers, and any slitting blades or perforators required
• Load sheets onto feeder or job sheets into proper positions to determine final settings of units
• Adjust machine during production run as required for, adherence to all quality and customer requirements
• Jog folded signatures or brochures for use in the next operation or for shipment to customer
• May operate two or more machines simultaneously
• Record job information on load tags and time sheets
• Ensure jobs are meeting quality and quantity requirements
• Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Floor Supervisor
• Maintain proper machine maintenance and lubrication
• Remove waste items for recycling
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
• Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
• Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in cultivating an interdependent safety culture by reporting workplace hazards, related injuries, illnesses and or/near misses to management immediately
• Attend all department/company meetings
• Other duties as assigned
