Job Type: Direct HirePosition OverviewOur client is seeking a Bilingual Team Lead to oversee daily operations and provide hands-on leadership for employees working in the anodize department. The ideal candidate will have anodizing experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.This position will be responsible for maintaining production schedules, quality standards, equipment performance, employee training, safety compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the anodize department.Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise all anodize line employees.
Create and communicate daily schedules to employees.
Maintain adequate manpower for the anodize department.
Ensure racking, unracking, operating, and small-parts processes are properly staffed and completed.
Complete and maintain required production and small-parts paperwork.
Submit rack requests prior to jobs being manufactured.
Ensure all quality standards are consistently met.
Troubleshoot anodizing, equipment, and quality issues.
Maintain anodize equipment and coordinate necessary repairs.
Plan and review upcoming jobs.
Monitor and maintain department KPIs.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
Provide basic on-the-job training and ongoing employee development.
Hold employees accountable for performance, safety, attendance, and behavior.
Assist with disciplinary actions when necessary.
Promote continuous improvement and identify opportunities for cost reduction in supplies and labor.
Order necessary department supplies.
Work closely with other company leadership to coordinate production and resolve issues.
Maintain compliance with OSHA/IOSHA and IDEM requirements.
Follow and enforce all company safety, attendance, quality, and behavioral policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Required Experience & Qualifications- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Previous leadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to train, coach, and hold employees accountable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with basic office software, including email, spreadsheets, and databases.
Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be willing and able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions- Regularly use hands and fingers to operate and inspect machinery and metal pieces.
Regularly lift, position, or move metal objects weighing approximately 10–50 lbs.
Occasionally lift or move heavier objects, potentially up to 100 lbs.
Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
Must have sufficient vision to inspect metal finishes, including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Ability to communicate verbally with coworkers regarding safety, discrepancies, and other work-related issues.
Comfortable working around loud equipment and in environments that may be hot or cold depending on the season.
May be exposed to dust, fumes, and solvents.
