The Benefits Systems Analyst analyzes and maintains HCM system functionality and data to ensure accuracy and successful operations and reports to the Manager, HRMS.  This role will provide full functional support of the PeopleSoft HCM Base Benefits, Benefits Administration and e-Benefits modules, as well as, day to day system processing and monitoring.  Responsibilities include system setup and configuration which requires thorough knowledge and understanding of benefits programs, plans, eligibility rules, event rules, benefits rates, calculation rules, and coverage formulas.  In addition, must possess the ability to setup, manage and serve as a primary liaison for large events such as annual open enrollment.  Must have experience working with vendors/providers to gather requirements, design specifications, and work with the technical team on developing new functionality or enhancements to existing functionality which includes various provider interfaces and reporting.  Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.  Must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills.  Must maintain confidentiality of data and compliance with applicable SOX controls.

What You’ll Do:

• Day to day management of benefits administrative functions which include:
  • Monitoring of new hire benefits enrollment
  • Entry and processing of mid-year benefits changes
  • BAS Activity processing
  • Research and problem resolution
• Assist HRMS team with data entry/maintenance of HR employee data, benefit input forms and other system input documents as needed   
• Management of all vendor/provider interfaces and file eligibility reviews
• Manage weekly Retro Benefits review, research and processing
• Manage benefits arrears processing, billing, and monitoring
• Ensure accuracy/completeness of data necessary for compliance reporting such as Cobra
• Coordinate and promptly responds to requests from Corporate and Division HR Administrators and Benefits personnel for system related enrollment and benefits tasks and questions
• Work with Corp Benefits Team to transition retiree and disability benefits to inactive billing.
• Setup and management of Annual Open Enrollment system activities and monitoring
• Setup and maintenance of automated benefits programs, plans and all related tables which include rules, rates, and formulas

• Create ad-hoc query and report requests as needed for research and troubleshooting

• Oversee the specification, development, testing and implementation of new or redesigned system functionality and reporting specifically related to benefits
• Leader or active participant in Benefits related projects and meetings (Open Enrollment)
• Participates in mergers/acquisitions to ensure benefits meet contractual obligations
• Develop and maintain benefits related procedure and training documentation
• Assist with support for our Employee Self Service portal (VESSO)
• Assist in implementation of HCM system upgrades by identifying test situations, entering test data and verifying results.

Skills You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or HR/Business Administration
• 4+ years PeopleSoft or other HCM Systems experience
• Must retain knowledge and understanding of company policies and benefit programs and plans
• Possess ability to lead project team efforts
• Self-starter with proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities
• Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to prioritize and multi task in high volume situations
• Must possess a positive, service oriented attitude with excellent follow through on issues
• Must be a team player and collaborate well with others throughout the business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple management levels
• Must demonstrate experience/maturity when handling confidential and sensitive information
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel, as well as ability to learn and use other desktop software and database applications as needed
