Job Overview:

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the International Sales is to manage all sales activities to foreign countries by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The markets include Defense, Law Enforcement and Commercial.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and Manages International Commercial sales network.
  • Develops and Manages International Defense and Law Enforcement Customers.
  • Coordinates production forecasting to sales demands.
  • Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discounts rates.
  • Manages and inputs sales efforts/actions into Salesforce.com
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing sales.
  • Oversees marketing and advertising efforts for supervised business units.
  • Prepares periodic sales reports showing countries status for opportunities and programs.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Attends major trade shows and represents the Company at important Demo events.
  • Work is performed in a professional group office environment.
  • Travels National and International.
  • Support export control compliance.
  • Prospects new markets ensuring sales growth via expansion at market presence.
  • Liaise with foreign governments and foreign government officials to solicit business and prospect new opportunities.
  • Coordinates sales efforts with other companies of the group and with sales agents to increase sales to foreign Law Enforcement agencies and foreign Military forces. 
  • Prepares quotations and respond to international bids.
  • Works in cross functional teams to respond to bids, prepare technical proposals and define strategy to win international tenders and bids
  • Creates individual country strategies to increase Beretta’s international presence
  • Supports efforts to find, manage and execute FMS Sales.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with bid solicitation process by preparing the necessary documentation required by the bid itself.
  • Generate weekly/monthly sales reports (as requested) indicating sales volumes, potential sales, and areas of proposed client-base expansion.
  • Assist with monthly forecast and budgeting activities.
  • Supports management of Test and Evaluation Samples required by Law Enforcement Agencies and International Customers.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports pertaining to order processing, agency interaction, statistical analysis on sales and sales calls.
  • Support International department with administrative duties.

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

  • Computer proficiency: MS Word/Excel required. MS Access preferred.
  • Experience with ITAR and US Export Compliance laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Foreign language skills: Spanish written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

EXPERIENCE EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.
