Teledyne is seeking a hands-on Battery Test Engineer to join our team that tests Lithium-Ion cells & battery systems for electrical performance, environmental susceptibility, and hazardous conditions.

Position Summary and Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
- Electrically test lithium-ion battery cells using Maccor cycling equipment
- Write scripts to control cycling equipment using Build Test software
- Record data and track tests using database applications
- Collect, organize, process, and analyze large quantities of cell test data to evaluate performance
- Summarize data in test reports
- Monitor equipment for malfunctions
- Take advantage of growth opportunities by learning skills from more experienced engineers such as: data mining using Visual Basic® for Applications, environmental testing (shock, vibration, thermal, etc.), hazardous conditions testing (short circuit, overcharge, over-discharge, etc.), and mission critical application simulations
Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products, specifically Excel®
- Excellent record keeping skills
- U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance and or data/software access
Nice to Have:
- 3 or more years battery test experience
- Maccor or equivalent battery test equipment use
- Macro construction experience with Visual Basic® for Applications
