Job Summary

  • Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 6am – 4:30pm
  • Location: 16800 SE Evelyn St, Clackamas
  • 3 weeks of PTO to start, plus 9 floating Holidays!


The Batching Lead is responsible for coordinating team efforts to stage, batch, and blend beverage syrup with accuracy and timeliness. This position supports hourly team members to achieve daily goals in: safety, quality, productivity, and culture.


Essential Functions

Train and Develop a Quality Mindset:

  • Train new hires in standard operating procedures.
  • Proactively coach and provide feedback to team members

Lead by Example:

  • Stage, Batch, and Blend beverage syrup with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Conduct blending pre-operation checks.
  • Perform environmental cleaning and sanitation.
  • Operate C-I-P (clean in place) systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Control Timing of Workflow:

  • Review production schedules and manage batch start times.
  • Minimize downstream delay by coordinating with all departments.

Food Safety and Quality Steward:

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure batching work areas a maintained, clean, safe, and organized.

Coordinate Batching Teams:

  • Facilitate communication between supervisors and hourly team.
  • Receive and coordinate shift pass down.
  • Report to the Batching Supervisor


Experience and Education Requirements


  • 3- 5 years of experience working in a high-speed food/beverage manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of Staging, Batching, and Mixing/Blending experience
  • 1+ year of experience working with an ERP system, Rockwell Automation’s Plex software preferred
  • Proficient in standard methods of environmental cleaning and sanitation.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of essential food quality and safety practices Proven resilience to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Demonstrated team player – Effectively work with groups of people with varying levels of knowledge, expertise and background to find win/win solutions
  • Excellent problem solving - Anticipate, identify, and define problems. Seek root causes. Develop and implement practical and timely solutions.
  • Good basic arithmetic. (Add, subtract, multiply, divide and round in all units of measure.)
  • Proactively identify and address existing and potential obstacles, issues, and opportunities.
