Job Title: Batch Maker
Job Summary
The Batch Maker is responsible for producing small-scale batches of precious metal materials within a pilot plant environment. This role involves following detailed formulations, monitoring processing conditions, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of working in a manufacturing setting with strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manufacture batches of precious metal materials according to established recipes and work orders
- Accurately measure, mix, and process materials in accordance with specifications
- Monitor and control key variables such as temperature, blending, and cooking times
- Track and record production data, including batch progress, times, and outcomes
- Perform basic equipment setup and operation within the pilot plant
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Identify and report any inconsistencies, equipment issues, or deviations from standard procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of direct batch making or manufacturing experience
- Strong math skills, including measurements and calculations
- Proven ability to accurately complete production documentation and records
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must successfully pass required pre-employment testing
