Overview

2nd Shift

Manage daily safety, quality, and production of Cold Drawn products.

Responsibilities

Implement the production plan to assure on time delivery and highest quality standards. Manage reliable and predictable operations. Reduce process variability and improve consistency throughout the department. Motivate the crew to effectively accomplish the tasks at hand while monitoring employee performance and task efficiency. Identify and implement improvements to the manufacturing process. Assure all ISO standards are met on an ongoing basis. Ensure SDI/OSHA safety requirements are met and exceeded. Assure the schedule is designed to gain maximum utilization of manpower, equipment, and material on all shifts. Assist in troubleshooting machinery and make any repairs in the event of a breakdown. Optimize costs within the constraints of appropriate product quality standard operating procedure and budget. Effectively practice Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees. Ability to lead staff to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production supervisory experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in areas such as confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hot work permitting, etc. and a strong sense of Safety Awareness.
• Ability and desire to improve efficiency and increase capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor.
• Self-motivated with positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Planning process and Manufacturing process control.
