Job Overview:

Avionics Assembler

Location: Bend, OR (In-Person)

Compensation: $25.00 / hour

PrideStaff is seeking a detail-oriented Avionics Assembler for a premier general aviation measurement device manufacturer in Bend.

  • Build electrical wire harnesses and assemble precision aviation electronic components.

  • Perform hand soldering, potting, and wire termination according to strict technical schematics and work instructions.

  • Conduct continuity and operational electrical testing using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure FAA and quality compliance.

  • Maintain high quality and workmanship standards for fine electronic assembly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, route, strip, crimp, and terminate electrical wiring and custom wire harnesses according to detailed work instructions.

  • Perform precise hand soldering on circuit boards, wire connections, pins, and electronic sub-assemblies.

  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks including wire potting, engraving, cleaning, dipping, and component marking.

  • Operate standard electrical test equipment (ohmmeters, voltmeters) to verify resistance, continuity, and proper electrical function.

  • Compare instrument readings against standard specifications and reject nonconforming units.

  • Document assembly build details, test results, and inventory movement accurately.

  • Assist with shipping, receiving, parts labeling, and order fulfillment as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; prior experience in electronics assembly, wire harness building, or fine soldering strongly required.

  • High degree of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precision soldering and handling small electronic components.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics, follow work instructions, and comply with FAA quality and workmanship standards.

  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to operate electrical test tools (voltmeters, ohmmeters).

  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs on a routine basis.
